A man is assisting police with their inquiries into a stabbing attack that left another man with serious injuries at Bellambi in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A 22-year-old man walked into Wollongong Police station accompanied by his solicitor about 7.30pm Saturday.
Wollongong Police Inspector Don Faulds confirmed the man was assisting police with their inquiries.
Police allege two men became involved in a fight at a service station on Rothery Street, Bellambi, about 2.30am Saturday.
During the argument, a 20-year-old man was stabbed in the chest by the other man, who then left the area.
The injured man attended Wollongong Hospital and was later transferred to St George Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Officers from Wollongong Police District established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the incident.
