The deal between WIN and Sky News owner Australian News Channel will see the Illawarra broadcaster screening Sky content on a new digital channel.
The make-up of the channel – called Sky News on WIN – is yet to be determined but will start screening later this year on channel 83.
It will feature both live and rescheduled Sky programs but will not be a carbon copy of what airs on the Foxtel channel.
A WIN spokesman said the Sky News content would not take over the local news bulletins.
“WIN News will continue to run on the main channel in its normal timeslot,” the spokeswoman said.

“WIN News will remain as it always has – half hour of local news, sport and weather.”
WIN CEO Andrew Lancaster said the move would allow the network “to strengthen its commitment to informing regional Australians”.
“As well as producing 16 dedicated local news bulletins, WIN is now giving regional Australians the complete local, national and international news, sport and current affairs stories across their day,” Mr Lancaster said.
The deal also gives Sky News access to WIN’s regional news coverage and the ability to screen local news content on its Foxtel channel.
Australian News Channel CEO Angelos Frangopoulos said the content supply agreement was “historic moment for our company”.
“Sky News will also deliver unique content to Australians in regional areas,” Mr Frangopoulos said.
“We look forward to announcing that in coming weeks.”
