It’s been one of the most exciting weeks for Flinders contestant Gina Ottaway who said in person the UK restaurateur is “just funny and happy” though he does have a stern personality.
“But he’s like that because he knows his stuff and then you have Nigella [Lawson who was on last week],” Ottaway told the Mercury, admitting she loved both celebrity chefs.
“The way she cooks is very simplistic, it’s beautiful food – home food – she’s a cook, she’s not a chef. I love her style of cooking and she has this beautiful aura about her.”
Ottaway has been saved from elimination so far after wowing Ramsay with her lamb with Yorkshire pudding dish Sunday.
“Having Gordon Ramsay tell me how good my dish is, is like having an out-of-body experience,” she said.
