Why did you apply for an Illawarra Academy of Sport scholarship?
I applied for the Illawarra Academy of Sport scholarship after hearing so many positive things about it from fellow netball friends.
The Illawarra Academy of Sport is also a great pathway to play netball at a higher level and they have great coaches which will help improve my netball skills.
Who is your favorite professional athlete and why?
My favourite professional athlete is Rebecca Bulley. Not only is she an amazing defender but she was able to come back and continue playing netball professionally after having a baby.
She is an inspiration to females proving that you can be a mother and still play sport at a professional level.
If you weren’t playing this sport what would you be doing and why?
If I wasn’t playing netball I would probably still be dancing and singing.
I started dancing when I was three years old and singing when I was 10 years old. I had to give up dancing to focus on netball when I was selected in the 13 years Representative team.
How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
I am outgoing, determined and enjoy challenging myself.
What are your plans beyond school?
My plans beyond school would either be pursuing a career as a professional chef or a professional netballer.
If you could live anywhere in the world it would be:
I would love to live in New York City because I love its bright lights and exciting energy.
What do you do in your free time?
If I am not hanging out with friends, I am usually cooking or watching movies.
What is your favourite subject at school?
My favourite subject at school is PASS because I enjoy playing all types of sport. I enjoy learning the theory component as well as the coaching and nutritional part of it.
What is your greatest achievement in your sport so far?
One of my greatest achievements so far in netball is being elected as a captain for my representative state team and receiving a district A badge in umpiring.
When did you start playing your sport and how did you get started?
I started playing Netball when I was eight years old with my friends in a school team for fun and to get fit.
My plans beyond school would either be pursuing a career as a professional chef or a professional netballer.
