More than three hundred children from across the Illawarra and Sydney have descended on Balgownie for the annual Illawarra Grammar primary school gala day.

The hosts performed well across the boys and girls competitions, with the TIGS boys falling to Thomas Hassall Anglican College in a penalty shootout in the semi-final. Thomas Hassall were then defeated by Shellharbour Anglican College 1-0 in the final.
The rivalry between TIGS and Thomas Hassall was resumed in the girls final, with the sides again going to penalties, with Thomas Hassall prevailing.
“All the kids had a fantastic time,” Terry Robinson from TIGS said. “It was a competitive day of football, with all the children playing multiple games. We also have to thank Balgownie Junior Soccer Club for helping ensure the day ran smoothly.”
