How special? Very.
Probably more special than you could know. But I won’t blame you for that, because I am magnanimous. I’m also generous, and humble.
I’ve a very busy person, you see, busy doing important things. And because I’m this busy – and special – I get an exemption from some of the inconvenient rules that normal people have to obey.
Sure, I see the no-stopping zone outside the primary school. They’re just suggestions, aren’t they?
OK, it’s the law. But, you know, it was just today, or some days, and it’s only ten minutes. It really helps me.
Yeah, I’ve seen the signs that the school had to erect around the drop-off zone, reminding parents there was to be no parking there, to keep it safe.
But hey, I didn’t really read them too closely. I know what they said.
OK, I’ve seen the principal writing in the school newsletter, pleading with parents again to do the right thing in the name of safety, and not stop in unsafe spots.
But, you know, it’s ... different. It was really important that I park there so I could take little Bronx inside. Otherwise we would have had to walk around the corner. Yeah, I know it makes the drop-off zone a shemozzle, but unsafe? You’re exaggerating.
Sure, I know it’s not the best to be holding a phone in one hand while driving around the school zone with the other, through the pedestrian crossing.
But this was an important call! I had to take it, or my day might have been wrecked.
Alright! I know you’re not supposed to park on the edge of a pedestrian crossing, particularly in a large four-wheel-drive, blocking the view.
But it’s just me. It’s not for long. I’ve got a lot to think about. And I’d never do anything unsafe. Not too bad anyway. I wouldn’t.
I’m special like that.
