One thing that all coffee drinkers have in common is that they want their coffee to be consistent and they want it to taste amazing.
If you own a cafe, restaurant, hotel or mobile business that provides coffee to your customers, you will want to serve up coffee that will have your customers returning again and again. That is where Rush Roasting Co can help you.
Based in Bowral, Rush Roasting Co has been roasting coffee since 1998 and now wholesales their ethically sourced beans from around the globe to businesses in the Southern Highlands (Moss Vale to Berrima), Illawarra and South Coast (Austinmer to Huskisson) and everywhere in between as well as up to some Sydney suburbs.
They offer a range of whole beans from growing regions such as Colombia, Costa Rica, Indonesia and Nicaragua, organic beans from Peru as well as coffee capsules.
The owners of Rush Roasting Co Sally and Baedon Terry said their coffee contains love, passion, experience, history and inspiration.
“Like all reputable coffee wholesalers we offer free on loan equipment such as La Marzocco and Wega coffee machines and Mazzer grinders and the best part is that we have no lock in contracts,” Baedon said.
“It’s really important to us that our coffee and brand be represented really well which means it is up to us to make sure that we provide the necessary training in order to achieve this.”
Baedon says that 90 per cent of the time when you get a bad coffee it is a problem with the person making it, not with the roasting bean.
“That’s why training is so essential. We work with our customers to ensure their staff have barista training. We also calibrate the machine, set their brew ratios and offer support to ensure customers are getting the best coffee every time.”
In the 20 years that Rush Roasting Co has been in operation the industry has changed considerably with much more science and technology now involved. However, they love keeping up with the latest trends and welcome change and innovation.

Rush Roasting Co has been researching and experimenting with speciality coffees and has developed one of the first specialty coffee roasted nitro cold brews in Australia.
Nitro Coffee is brewed for nine to 12 hours and then goes through a double filtration system and into a keg where it is infused with pure nitrogen for around 24 hours.
It is then chilled and served through a tap (like beer). It cascades out of the tap like Guinness beer and the end result is a thicker, velvety texture in the mouth.
“Nitro Coffee is a relatively new concept and is an exciting way of serving cold brew coffee. We have begun rolling this out to our wholesale customers across the region and we can offer a Nitro Coffee setup from as little as $770,” Baedon said.
“Specialty coffees are certainly an upcoming trend and we are encouraging businesses to embrace it and offer this innovative product to their customers.”
Rush Roasting Co is also preparing to sell cold brew coffee in a bottle by spring / summer this year and are currently developing six new specialty coffees especially for competitions, which they also hope to develop on a commercial level.
