Stefan Seizov, from Keiraville, is accused of raping two women at a party at Robertson on December 31, 2015, and indecently assaulting a third woman a year later at a gathering in Colo Vale, in the Southern Highlands.
None of the women reported the alleged abuse to police at the time, however one of them decided to come forward in January this year after Seizov contacted her again via Facebook messenger.
Seizov was arrested on Tuesday morning following a five month investigation by police. He applied for bailin court on Tuesday afternoon however it was refused by Magistrate Cate Follent.
Police documents tendered in court claim in the 2015 incident, a then-18-year-old Seizov went into the bedroom where the two women were sleeping, climbed into bed with one of them and began “spooning” and fondling her.
She told him to stop and he did, leaving the room. However, it is alleged Seizov came back at some stage and again climbed into the woman’s bed. She later told police she woke to Seizov raping her.
She said she pushed Seizov away and left the room. Seizov then allegedly turned his attention to the second woman, climbing into her bed and indecently assaulting her.
The second woman told police she “froze” and pretended to be asleep while Seizov allegedly raped her. She too then pushed Seizov away, allegedly prompting him to apologise.
It is alleged Seizov admitted assaulting both women while in the car with a friend on the way home that morning.
A week later, Seizov sent the women separate messages of apology via Facebook.
“I realise there is nothing I can say or do to make up for the vile thing I did to you, I can’t even imagine how you must feel, but all I can say is I’m incredibly sorry,” one message read.
Police allege Seizov struck again a year later at another end-of-year party, this time trying to inappropriately touch a third woman on the vagina, breasts and buttocks.
The following morning he sent the woman a Facebook message saying “hey, I really hate myself for putting you through what I assume [was] a sleepless night”.
When interviewed by police, Seizov allegedly admitted to the majority of the sexual activity, however said he couldn’t remember some of the alleged actions because he was drunk. He told police he was drinking excessively and using cannabis at the time of both incidents.
The case was adjourned to August.
