After almost three decades at its present site in Market Street the law firm is relocating to the new Vivid Wollongong building just across the road from the LifeLine Shop.
The new offices are on the ground level of the recently completed Vivid development on the corner of Auburn and Dean Streets. The site is near Wollongong Railway Station and not far from the new State Emergency Service’s NSW headquarters.
Partners Paul Magagnino, David Potts, Michael Hatfield, Amy Harper, Peter Chodat and Mario Quintiliani inspected the new site on Wednesday.
Mr Potts said it was a chance to reflect on Kells proud history as one of Wollongong's oldest law firms.
“Kells has been at its iconic Market Street offices for over 28 years. Working with local contractors Cyclo Construction + Fitout, we have been able to design and build a custom designed new premises that better meets the needs of our clients and provides attractive offices for our staff to work in.”
“We are also using the opportunity as part of our move to enhance and modernise our IT platforms to enable us to deliver better services for our clients.”
Partner Amy Harper said the fit-out is almost complete at 14-18 Auburn Street and the move will be completed soon to mark “a new era for Kells”.
“It is close to completion and we are looking forward to relocating to our new premises,” she said.
