Well the trout season in NSW closed on the long-weekend Monday and reports from many locals confirmed it was probably the coldest and the worst weather conditions for many years.

The words blizzard, subzero and near 75-kilometre winds were all across their reports with very little mention of fish, but a few hardy guys scored a few brown trout but nearly suffered hypothermia and frostbite in getting them.
Reminder that ALL flowing fresh waters in NSW are now closed for trout fishing until the October long weekend opening.

DPI/Fisheries FADs team have advised all the more southern NSW coastline FADs have been retrieved for winter maintenance and storage until summer comes around.
