The franchisee of the Wollongong store is Hayden and Sheryl Ramsey and the manager is their son Jaryd Ramsay.
The Coffee Club started in Brisbane in 1989 by founders Emmanuel Kokoris and Emmanuel Drivas just months after a failed search for a decent coffee in the city one night.
They had a lightbulb moment to create more than just somewhere for people to meet for coffee; but provide a casual, comfortable yet sophisticated, stylish and affordable location for caffeine and food.
During the last three decades that sole Brisbane store has grown to become Australia’s largest home-grown cafe group with more than 400 stores in nine countries with more than 40 million loyal customers.
The Coffee Club has had a presence at Stocklands Shellharbour since the shopping centre was redeveloped and significantly expanded in 2012.
That store was opened by food franchisees Paul and Rosa O'Neill and Hayden and Sheryl Ramsey and is now run by the Ramseys.
Their two daughters will continue to work at Coffee Club Shellharbour.
The Coffee Club is one of three new hospitality businesses opening in the next month.
Holey Moley will open on the lower level of the Gateway Centre in Crown Central on July 20.
Criniti’s Wollongong Italian restaurant is also opening in July.
