“Phoenix were looking for an unselfish, pass first point guard to round out a talented Summer League roster with a number one draft pick, and Emmett, with the most assists in all of NCAA Division 1 this year fit the bill perfectly,” Naar's Manager Sammy Wloszczowski said.
Naarwill join number one draft pick Deandre Ayton and first round pick Mikal Bridges in the Suns Summer League lineup.“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to join the Suns for Summer League in Las Vegas,”Naar said.
“I’m looking forward to representing St Marys and the Illawarra Hawks out there.”
Head Coach Rob Beveridge is excited for Emmett and the experience it will give him coming into the Hawks.
“To play in one of the best competitions in the world against the best players will be a wonderful opportunity for him,” Beveridge said.
