The Illawarra and District Orchid Society’s 67th annual winter show will be held at Warilla Senior Citizens Centre on July 14-15.
Society publicity officer Ken Wynn said promoting interest in the conservation and preservation of orchids is still the main aim of the two-day show.
“Visitors to the show will see a spectacular display of orchids,” he said.
“There will be sale tables with a large variety of flowering size plants, potting supplies includes pots, potting mixes and fertilisers for orchids.”
Society vice-president Peter Frey said members will also be on hand to offer people advice on how to grow their orchids.
Entry to the 67th annual winter show is free. The show runs from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and 9am to 3pm on Sunday.
Judging of the show plants will be on the Saturday from 9-10am.
The raffle of a “beautiful cymbidium orchid’’ will be drawn on Sunday at 2pm.
