‘Scarborough’ is a 30-hectare property and has a price guide of $4.15 million to $4.38 million.
The Strongbuild home sits above terraced gardens and commands panoramic views over the countryside to the ocean. It features three bedrooms plus another bedroom/study, as well as two bathrooms.
The property also features paddocks with electric fencing, gravity-fed troughs, large spring fed dam, cattle yards and crush.
The land can carry about 15-25 head of livestock.
Leanne Pugh of Inspired Real Estate is marketing the property.
“The property was named ‘Scarborough’ after the ship that was part of the First Fleet,” she said.
“One of the owners’ great, great, great grandfathers came out to this country on that ship.”
Ms Pugh said the current owners built the house, after buying it as an undeveloped property and demolishing the original house.
She said the owners were now downsizing.
“They weren't really looking in this specific area, but were shown this block and knew they wanted to live with this spectacular view.
“They had the imagination and vision to see a quality home on this site.
“Nine years ago they built the house of their dreams, and the owners moved in permanently and commuted to Sydney for work.
“When you’re there, you can’t see any other houses. You feel like you’re just looking over the rest of the world. Just absolutely breathtaking views.”
Only new to the market, Ms Pugh said the property had already attracted significant interest.
“It would be great for somebody that would like a rural retreat, and wanted privacy, but also the convenience to all the local facilities,” she said.
