Fulton Hogan was responsible for the first two stages of the Princes Highway upgrade – at Gerringong and at Berry.
The construction company has been picked from a shortlist of three to build the long-awaited Albion Park Rail Bypass.
“The award of this contract to Fulton Hogan to design and deliver the bypass is a significant milestone, as it means the project is on track with the timeline I announced at the last state election,” Parliamentary Secretary for the Illawarra Gareth Ward said.

“Fulton Hogan will now work on the detailed design and I look forward to working with them – as I have on previous projects in our region.”
Mr Ward said Fulton Hogan would be required to engage apprentices and trainees as part of the project.
The $630 million project will create a four-lane highway that will stretch 9.8 kilometres around Albion Park Rail with works to start in the 2018-19 financial year.
