Trains to Bomaderry or Port Kembla from Central, and those heading into the city from the South Coast line are affected.
Transport for NSW has advised people to delay their trips and allow extra travel time on the Illawarra and South Coast lines.
“Buses are being organised to replace trains from Sutherland to Hurstville in that direction only,” the advisory says.

“These buses are not yet running so delay your trip. Also listen to announcements and check indicator boards.”
Via Twitter, Sydney Trains has said trains from the city are running but in some cases will be stopping at different platforms.
