The six-day event features all 16 NSW Zones competing for titles in Singles, Pairs and Fours.
Top Warilla prospect Toby Peters will play all three disciples for Zone 16 and will partner clubmate Ryan Noronha in the Pairs, with the duo joined by Warilla’s Nathan Sopher and Justin Rumble in the Fours.
Players at the State Finals qualified as champions of their zone in 2018. The event begins with Singles sectional play on Sunday (JULY 15) with the semi-finals and final next Monday.
The Fours is next Tuesday and Wednesday with the Pairs on the Thursday and Friday. The semis and finals of the Singles and Pairs will be streamed live on Bowls NSW’s Facebook page.
The championships feature bowls’ future stars, led by Dubbo Railway’s Jono Davis (Zone 4) who is arguably Australia’s best teenage bowler and this month named in the Emerging Jackaroos national squad.
Davis and 15-year-old Peters are NSW U18 teammates and have been drawn in Section 3 in Singles and will meet in the opening match of Singles.
Among the other young stars heading to Warilla is Raymond Terrace’s Connor Freeman (Zone 2); Tailor Appleby (Kurri Kurri) and Wallacia’s Thomas Holburn.
