The breakaway will play his 400th game for the club, coincidentally against the same side he played his 300th game.
A veteran of 194 first grade games and 152 second grade matches, Whitehead joined the club as an under 13 in 1996.
The 35-year-old made his first grade debut in 2002 and was a member of Shamrocks 2007 premiership winning team. He was club captain in 2015 and 2016.
Shamrocks president Garry Weston said Whitehead is a club stalwart and contributes to the club both on and off the field as a player, sponsor and coach.
“People like Jordan is what rugby’s about,” Weston said. “He’s committed to the community, to the club and to his mates. He’s an asset to us and we wish him well on Saturday and in his future playing endeavours.”
