Skydive Australia instructor and three-time Australian Champion, 30-year-old Mr Woolf claimed top spot in the Speed discipline.
Its pretty much like youre flying a race car, he said. To come out on top after competing for eight years, and beat former world champions at the event is amazing.
More than 5,000 spectators each day gathered to watch 85 athletes from 15 different countries hurtle towards the ground at speeds of up to 150km/hour before touching down having performed low-flying, skilled aerobatic feats through a competition course across a specially made swoop pond
Australian Parachute Federation national coach Ronnie Perry said they were ecstatic with the results at this years world championships, especially as it was the first time in a decade that a new country had taken out the top spot for Speed.
Mr Woolf completed his first skydive at age 16 and has now completed more than 10,500 jumps in his lifetime. He hopes to gain more trophy's at the World Parachuting Championships in October on the Gold Coast.
