The NSW champions and state series runners-up finished third in the opens and took away gold in the Masters event on Thursday, to end the competition with 11 points.
Victorian powerhouse Williamstown (17 points) edged out Queensland's Broadbeach (16) to be crowned national champions.
And in the Interstate, the Queensland Cyclone image to rule supreme securing a tenth national title.
It was an IRB carnival with everything.
In chilly conditions, Thirroul Surf Life Saving Club members received high praise for a well run event.
"Competitors had to be on fire from the start and the conditions perfect for crews that love racing in waves," Broadbeach manager Courtney Wilson said.
"With Just one point between the bridesmaids and the winners, it was definitely a tough competition.
"The waves have been the best waves of the weekend and Broadbeach loves racing in waves."
