A member of the Hells Angels from Helensburgh has been accused of assaulting of an off-duty law enforcement officer in the Sutherland Shire earlier this year.

A 27-year-old man – an off-duty law enforcement officer from interstate – was walking along Cronulla Mall with friends, when they were approached by a group of men just after 12.30am on March 11, police said.
Following a verbal altercation between the groups, the officer was punched in the face, causing him to lose consciousness and fall to the ground, hitting his head.
Police and emergency services were called, but the other group fled the scene.
The officer was treated by paramedics for head and face injuries before being taken to Sutherland Hospital for further treatment.
He was later released and has since returned to full duties.
Sutherland police attended the scene and spoke with a group of men at a nearby licensed premises, but no one was arrested.
An investigation was launched by detectives from the Criminal Groups Squad and a 27-year-old Helensburgh man was arrested on See Street, Kensington, about 9.30am on June 15.
He was served Firearms and Weapons Prohibition Orders.
A short time later, police searched a unit in Helensburgh, where investigators seized a knife, cash, cannabis, steroids, and clothing.
The man, who is a member of the Hells Angels motorcycle gang, was taken to Maroubra Police Station and charged with reckless grievous bodily harm.
He was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Thursday.
