The chant “Huntley, Huntley” – a nod to the club’s history – rang out as the doors were locked; just eight days after members were told of the closure.
The business, which was established in 1950, had battled through administration for almost a year.

The club, which owes more than 70 creditors about $1.8 million, will be placed into liquidation and its assets sold.
“A number of local clubs have expressed interest in purchasing some of the assets of the club, which will be advertised and sold via auction or an EOI process,” deed administrator Robert Brennan said.
