Criniti’s official launch in Keira Street, Wollongong has raised thousands of dollars for sick children in the Illawarra.
A week after a soft opening the #CrinitisPizzaForPurpose night made children the focus of the Italian restaurant group’s VIP launch.
A spokesperson from the Criniti’s Group said Criniti’s had always been a family owned restaurant.
‘And we are so happy to have been able to give back to the community. Thank you for welcoming us to Wollongong.”
At the official opening night last Wednesday 2399 pizza slices were eaten. And for every slice money was donated to the Children's Ward at Wollongong Hospital.
At the end of the night $5000 was raised. That money will soon be presented to Kid’s Ward.
“Giving back never tasted this good,” the spokesperson said.
More than 50 people were employed at and have been kept busy at the new restaurant in the last week. They included Wollongong-born head chef and his team of six in the kitchen.
The restaurant has been full every night which has been encouraging for the growing business. Wollongong is the first new eatery in a national expansion that will soon include Perth and Brisbane.
