IWIB director Glenda Papac said Mrs Bowman has more than 20 years experience in legal, executive and board roles.
She said that has fueled a passion for building and developing exceptional leaders.
As a result Mrs Bowman has done extensive research into what makes leaders great.
Nicki is also a director and founding board member of Football South Coast Limited.
The other speaker at Friday’s IWIB lunch is CanConquer - Exercise Beyond Cancer founder Kylie Moffit.
ms Moffit is dual qualified as principal Physiotherapist/Senior Accredited Exercise Physiologist.
She is certified as a PINC Women’s and STEEL Men’s Cancer Physiotherapist and accredited with exercise oncology as an exercise physiologist.
She has been practicing for 18 years in the health and medical industry and is an IWIB Award winner.
Meanwhile Dress for Success has been chosen as one of six finalists in the latest round of Sunsuper’s Dreams for a Better World program.
The initiative gives not-for-profit organisations the chance to share in $150,000 in grants.
And the Illawarra community can help Dress for Success receive a $5000 grant to support women in need so they have the confidence and skills to gain employment and achieve financial independence.

Acting chief executive Vicki Hartley said Dress for Success in Sydney and Wollongong, where it launched in 2017, was passionate about eradicating discrimination and removing barriers to employment for women.
“At Dress for Success we help vulnerable women by providing them - free of charge - professional clothing, a network of support and career development tools to help them gain employment and achieve self-sufficiency,” Mr Hartley said.
“For some women this is as simple as providing them with an interview-appropriate outfit, and others benefit from attending a series of workshops to help build their skills, resumes and confidence.
“Last year, Dress for Success helped more than 2,600 women in NSW prepare for interviews and find employment.
“We know there are more than 400,000 unemployed women in Australia and it is our mission to help every woman who wants a job, to get one.
“This is a big dream, but we’re starting by expanding our services to regional NSW.”
“A $5,000 grant from Sunsuper’s Dreams for a Better World program will give us the funding boost we need to uplift our Pack and Send service; allowing us to connect with people in regional communities online and send them interview-ready outfits.”
Sunsuper’s Dreams for a Better World is about partnering with the dreams of care-giving Australians who have a big dream to make a positive impact in local communities and are helping to change lives.
Since 2011, Sunsuper has awarded more than 100 grants to community causes through its Dreams for a Better World program.
Dress for Success Sydney is one of six entries chosen from more than 250 applications, to be in with a chance to receive a grant in the Brighter Futures category of Sunsuper’s Dreams for a Better World program.
This round is about supporting grassroots initiatives that empower Australians from all backgrounds and abilities to gain education, training and employment and help more people become financially independent.
