IOH, a leader in prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of workplace injuries, can work with you to achieve the best possible outcome after an injury and can ideally work with employers to prevent injuries from happening in the first place.
IOH was one of the first accredited providers in NSW to deliver occupational rehabilitation services under the Workers Insurance Scheme.
Operations manager Corey Smith said, “IOH offer a multidisciplinary approach and have functioning medical facilities with skilled professionals including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, rehabilitation counsellors, psychologists, occupational therapists, risk management consultants and more so we can manage all aspects of Work Health and Safety (WHS) and injury management. In addition we deliver a diverse range of training courses.”
These services are provided to help reduce work injuries, reduce the costs involved in Workers Insurance and CTP claims and to manage all aspects of WHS and injury management.
“We want to achieve a customer focused outcome, provide a quality service and we want to help people achieve their potential and goals,” IOH rehabilitation counsellor Nayana Gunasekara said.
“People who have been injured in the workplace often feel displaced and may have lost their livelihood after an injury. We can help them to re-establish their skills and goals, give them the training they need and in a social sense bring them back to the community.”
As a healthcare provider, IOH is primarily focused on three key areas – workplace health, personal health and disability services (available through the National Disability Insurance Scheme) and their mission is to “empower people to realise and achieve their potential for life, work and play”.
Whether dealing with injury or disability their staff are focused on the “can do”, setting goals and delivering the strategies to get there.
“The biggest thing that sets IOH apart is the way we collaborate with all stakeholders. We adhere to evidence based practice and use a multidisciplinary team approach,” IOH occupational therapist Sheridan Alla said.
“The team utilises their unique set of skills to assist people as their needs arise. We achieve great results and our efforts have been successful with many positive outcomes.”
