To have won a category, never mind the major awards of Business of the Year and Business Person of the Year, is certainly a credit to the organisation and its management and staff.
At the end of the night Curran Plumbing and Pipe Relining was named Illawarra and South Coast Local Business of the Year and Amanda Barr, of Dance Sensations, Business Person of the Year.
The Youth Award went to Rebecca Dun, of Little Wonders Early Learning Centre.

Having the Illawarra and South Coast Business Awards is important for customers because knowing that a business has won an award means that they are ticking all the boxes.
After all, the voting is done by customers and they must have been that impressed to make the effort to vote.
Seeing the award logo next to the business inspires confidence because a rigorous judging process has gone into this.
These particular businesses were not afraid to open their doors and let judges scrutinise their business. They didn’t know when they would be mystery shopped which meant that they had to be on their best behaviour at all times.
These businesses showcase what they have to offer and tell their competitors they are striving hard and want to be at the forefront of their customers’ minds.
Stakeholders of that business will be impressed too. To those who didn’t enter or win this year, there’s always next year to enter.
