A $500 cash prize is being offered with the image to grace the cover of the 2019 program. Budding photographers apply by capturing and uploading their photos from the art festival to Instagram pr Facebook.
Meantime sculptor applications close at midnight on Monday to have work considered for a spot in the 60-plus line-up of installations.
Artists selected for the exhibit will go in the running for more than $10,000 in cash and prizes and the chance to have their work commissioned.
Schools will again take part in the festivities along with several free artistic and interactive workshops, demonstrations and live entertainment.
Sculptures and school art exhibits will be shown at Killalea, the Shellharbour Civic Centre and Stockland Shellharbour.
In 2017 the event attracted over 30,000 people over the course of 10 days.
Last year Sam Sanderson was named the major prize winner for his work “Bwindi” – winning $5000.
David Ball was runner up for “Split” – taking home $1000 and his work permanently installed on the lake foreshore.
