The property at 68 Headland Parade, Barrack Point is scheduled to be auctioned in several weeks’ time, at a date to be confirmed.
There is no price guide currently available.
Selling agent, Ray White Shellharbour Oak Flats Group principal Amanda Bonnici said despite only just coming on to the market, the “spectacular” property was already attracting interest from Sydney-siders.
The six-bedroom (including guest house out the back) listing has been a lucrative rental property in recent times, advertising rents of up to $1650 per week.
It sits on a thousand square metres.
The current owner purchased the property in 2008 for $1.1 million, before undertaking a knockdown-rebuild.
All inspections are by registration only.
Ms Bonnici said Barrack Point remained a highly desirable location.
“It’s classed as somewhat of an elite area because it’s a pocket there on the headland,” she said.
According to Domain Group figures, the average age of Barrack Point residents is 40 to 59, with 53 per cent families and 47 per cent singles.
The Domain figures also indicated that 44 per cent of residents fully own their own home, 30 per cent have a mortgage and 26 per cent are renting.
Most popular occupations for residents include health care/social (17 per cent); construction (13 per cent) and manufacturing (12 per cent).
