The antisocial behaviour around MacCabe Park and associated areas including Burelli and Church, Keira Streets need to be addressed this is a issue for both council and police the behaviour I witnessed today was disturbing.
A congregation of indigenous and others had made the park their own taunting people walking through the park and badgering people.
A small group then broke away and headed down Church Street crossing the road and one of the group a young male smashed at a cars side mirror causing the driver to retaliate.
The person that attacked the car had already crossed and purposely turned and struck out.
The driver jumped out of the car and confronted the group.
Next thing six or seven of the MacCabe Park extras came running in from MacCabe Park .Bad image to see.

- Maybe stop this anti social congregation (plain clothes police)
- Spend some money on peoples safety (council)
- Create a environment for families not loiterers
- Protect shop owners and their right to feel safe and trade

WAR ON WASTE NEED LEADERSHIP
Coles backflip on single use plastic bags demonstrates what should have been obvious for many years.
We cannot rely on major supermarkets to help us out of the environmental and waste management crisis Australia is now facing.
ABC's "War on Waste" is vividly illustrating some of these problems supermarkets have already shown by their profligate and unnecessary use of plastics, that they are wholly focused on their bottom line, and cannot be trusted to consider the environment.
It is high time for Governments to take the action they should have done years ago, and introduce a ban on all unnecessary plastic use.
Our country needs leadership in this matter!

DIVING IN
Has anyone asked about the rent Skydive The Beach pay the Wollongong City Council and ratepayers to utilise this area of Wollongong?
Many stakeholder's along the Blue Mile pay significant amounts of rent to run their businesses. STB bastardise and take advantage of existing conditions to their advantage.
So be it however with increased rates and capital expenditure, WCC must reconsider the conditions and leasing agreements with STB to bring these activities up to 2018 standards.
