Our bodies use water in all of our cells, organs and tissues to help regulate temperature and maintain other bodily functions.
It’s no wonder this precious resource is needed in our everyday lives, and even more if we exercise.
Facts about water include:
- Our bodies need roughly 2 litres per day before we exercise.
- For every 1kg lost after exercise, we need to consume roughly 1.5 litres of water.
- Every coffee and standard drink reduces your water intake by roughly 250ml, so if you consume 2 litres per day, but have 2 coffees and 2 wines each day effectively you are only consuming 1 litre of water.
