Mr Horan has years of experience working with people as they navigate through a challenging job search phase. He knows those equipped with career-based skills, information and strategies will be the ones with the potential to successfully move through it.
“The career clinic will provide an inexpensive and unique opportunity for people to check the health of their resumes, cover letters, selection criteria and interview skills,” he said.
All funds raised on the day will be donated to assist Salvation Army community work
Through her work Ms Walker has noticed a marked connection between new-found employment positions for her clients and the positive and uplifting flow-on effect with their family.
“It’s amazing to see our clients feeling confident and positive about their future when they find out that they now have employment“.
The career clinic is at the Salvation Army Centre on August 14. It starts with a three hour workshop on job skills at 10am followed by six 30 minute individual career coaching sessions.
