Itree develops intelligent software for government agencies and regulators in Australia and New Zealand.
The solutions it provides from its development centre and technology hub/headquarters in iCentral helps save lives and environments by improving safety, productivity and efficiency in the areas of regulation, compliance and enforcement.
On Friday night at WIN Entertainment Centre the technology business was named Outstanding Employer of Choice and team member Andrew Jackson was awarded the prize for Outstanding Young Employee in the region.
The night of celebration for the Itree team came just a few weeks after the The Australian Business Award recognised Itree’s achievement in developing a leading workplace that maximises workforce potential and demonstrates effective employee recruitment, engagement and retention.
The key attributes judges were looking for to define the characteristics of high-performance in an industry leading organisation were focused on practices that created a stimulating and supportive workplace.
Itree had to meet a robust set of requirements. In doing so it demonstrated achievements in many key areas such as organisational culture, leadership and strategy, employee education, training and development, employee health safety and satisfaction, performance management and recognition and remuneration.
The national award judges found Itree was committed to providing equal opportunities in all its workplace/employment practices.
They found it offered a working culture and environment that attracts and retains employees through innovation, empowerment, involvement, inclusion and respect.
The innovative business advocates for diversity and promotes acceptance, tolerance and an understanding.
Itree chief executive Ben Hobby said it was exciting to be openly recognised for the values the team constantly strives to live up to.
“Our culture is a positive distinguishing feature that sets us apart from competitors.
“We constantly seek to harness strengths from each individual’s diverse backgrounds and experiences, engaging with our customers for successful outcomes.”
He said the award illustrated Itree’s continued commitment to deliver high quality products and solutions vital to ensuring national safety in Australia and New Zealand for people, communities and environments.
“I am inspired on a regular basis by our people and their genuine desire to achieve the very best. The are the true heart of our success."
Mr Hobby said Itree’s intentional culture, leadership and strategy helped guide its teams.
He said by inspiring and motivating its employees the 20 year old business had been able to attract and retain great talent. As well as create a fun, happy and exciting work environment.
Itree is hosting a two day community forum on Thursday and Friday focused on “innovating your life”.
