Leeson Ah Mau has been promoted to the starting line-up, a role he’s filled often in the past, for Saturday’s clash with Parramatta.
Blake Lawrie has come onto the bench while McGregor expects fellow young-gun Luciano Leilua to play a bigger role off the interchange.
“[Vaughan’s] a loss, you can’t hide that fact,” McGregor said.
“He’s an Origin player and I think he’s a player that came out of Origin better for it. The void will be filled by young Blake Lawrie and we’ve obviously got Leesn Ah mau who’s an established player and an international now.
“Luciano will get more time, we’ve got Tyson there as well who’s a bit of a beast, so the time will be shared.
“Any injuries at this time of the year are always unfortunate, but it’s an opportunity for everyone else to play a little bit more time and have a little bit more impact.”
