In his time with the organisation, Michael, who has a learning disability, has attained his forklift licence, completed short courses and worked in a variety of manufacturing roles.

Currently, Michael is working in the e-waste recycling division at Greenacres, sorting through electrical products to see what elements can be reused, refurbished or recycled.
“The work is fun but what I like most about my job, is the great group of guys I work with,” he said.
“We get on really well together, having a laugh and meeting up at weekends.
“I also met my girlfriend here at Greenacres – it’s a very social place!”
