Maybe you’re keen to buy a bar table, a few bistro chairs, a chocolate wheel or even some of those pagers that go off when food is ready to be picked-up from the bistro?
They are just some of the hundreds of items up for grabs as the assets of the now-defunct Dapto Bowling Club go under the hammer – via an online auction.
The club, which was affectionately known among members as “the little joint on Marshall Street”, went into administration in September.
Despite attempts to keep it operating, the business was deemed no longer viable and closed on July 20.
The club has since been placed into liquidation.
Many of the club’s 900-strong membership were left shocked by news of the sudden closure – despite knowing of the business’ ailing financial position.
As word of the club’s numbered days spread, many made sure to visit for last drinks.
Now, one month on, some of the very glasses from which those last drinks were consumed are being sold.
Furniture – including a bar table dubbed by some members as the “table of knowledge”, a place where many yarns were told – will also go.
A fire sale is under way, with members able to secure themselves a piece, or two, of the club as a keepsake.
The online auction is being run by the Sydney-based Tiger Asset Group.
The company’s executive director, Steven Laws, said it was a liquidation auction and “everything’s got to be sold”.
“It’s a public auction, anyone can resister and bid,” Mr Laws said, adding members “might want to buy something for posterity”.
“Whilst it’s somewhat sad, it just presents an opportunity for other clubs to get bargains, and there’s an opportunity … for the former members and patrons to buy equipment.”
Included among the general sale items on offer are cash registers, safes, televisions and a defibrillator.
Kitchen equipment – including a commercial ice maker – is also up for grabs, as well as items like beer and wine glasses, and utensils.
There’s also a number of lawn bowls available.

Prospective buyers can physically inspect items at the club on Tuesday from 9am to 4pm.
The auction closes at 4pm on Wednesday, with items sold to be collected next week.
