But doing something sporty to settle scores didn’t fly with medical students at Monash University.
So they launched a inter-university Facebook competition where participants required little or no sporting prowess.
The premises were simple. Get as many people as possible to create the first letter of your university.
The university with the most people in the photo wins.
Monash and the University of Wollongong are the only two left in the running to win the prestigious MedCup.
UOW fired the first shot on Monday but post-graduate medical students Natasha Dobson and Benjamin Chan didn’t want their competitors to know exactly how many participants featured in their “big W”.
“We don’t want Monash to know how many people. We want to win so we need to have more people in our photo,” Dobson said.
Monash has until Wednesday to post up their photo.
“Here’s hoping we take it out,” she said.
