The year seven and eight boys and girls played a number of games throughout the gala day in a bid to earn a place in November’s state finals.
The Warilla High School girls teams were particularly impressive, with two teams from the school clashing in the semi-final.
The victorious team progressed to take on Saint Mary’s Star of the Sea College in the final, with Warilla prevailing in a tight, riveting clash.
Kiama High School and Corpus Christi High School lined up in the boys final, with the southerners proving much too strong for their rivals, claiming a big victory to book a place in the state finals.
The teams from Warilla and Kiama will head to St Marys on 16 November to take on the state’s best.
