Wollongong’s Cindy Guevara will be on her way to Bolivia in October after being awarded the sash for Miss Lindeza Australia in Melbourne last week.
The 27-year-old, with Salvadorean background, was given the loudest ovation in the charity pageant which helped raise money for a Bolivian orphanage.
Ms Guevara will represent Australia in the world competition Reina Hispanoamericana 2018. She will also visit Hogar Maria Auxiliadora Orphanage in Cochabamba and present all funds raised.
The artist, dancer, model, motivational speaker and writer is in the process of completing her first book. Her ultimate goal is to create a not-for-profit organisation based on that book and herself as its core product, sharing her personal journey to accentuate empowerment, compassion, positivity, resilience, self-belief and unity.
