Steel City Strings have enlisted Tsiboulski as guest soloist for their Serenades and Dances program in September.
Performances will take place at Kiama’s The Pavilion at 2pm on Sunday, September 16, and Wollongong Art Gallery at 7.30pm on Saturday, September 22.
Tsiboulski, a Ukrainian-born virtuoso guitarist now based in Adelaide, has won 12 international guitar competitions and now performs and lectures at the world’s leading guitar festivals and symposiums.
Serenades and Dances is the final 2018 program for the orchestra, who will play Serenades for Strings by Elgar and Herbert, and Barber’s Adagio for Strings.
Guest soloist Tsiboulski will join the orchestra to play Ross Edwards’ Arafura Dances and Luigi Boccherini’s Fandango.
The Serenades and Dances September program will close out a successful 2018 season for Steel City Strings.
The year has featured the orchestra starring in the documentary film The Passion of Music by award-winning film-maker Tony Williams.
Their last concert series, Strings with Voices, was a sell-out success.
