The under 14 girls division was a south coast shutout, with local surfers Oceanna Rogers, Keira Buckpitt and Tyla Hurst sweeping the podium.
Rodgers, of Shell Cove, claimed a two-wave score of 12.77 to triumph over Culburra’s Buckpitt, while Hurst finished in third. Hurst was also rewarded with a star performer award.
Thirroul’s Taj Air took out the under 10 boys division after negotiating tricky three-foot conditions throughout the heats. Air posted a 9.13 two-wave score in the final to defeat Dee Why’s Ben Zanatta Creagh.
Air’s victory came after his younger brother Cruz took out the under 8s mixed competition on Saturday’s opening day of competition.
Gerringong’s Darragh sisters also excelled, with Lucy Darragh finishing second in the under 10 girls and Tiana taking silver in the under 12s.
Sydney’s Northern Beaches will host this week’s event.
