The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is alleged to have indecently assaulted the 14-year-old boy in a suburb south of Wollongong sometime between the start of April and the end of May this year.
Police will allege the man somehow obtained naked photos of the boy, which he had printed onto A4 sheets of paper.
It is alleged the man then hung the photos up in two parks and a local sporting ground on four different occasions between July 7 and August 19.
The pictures were discovered attached to garbage and skip bins, a tree, a lighting pole and inside a toilet block.
The man was arrested on August 21 and charged with indecent assault, disseminating child pornography, intimidation and using a carriage service to harass.
He has entered pleas of not guilty to all the charges.
The case was adjourned to October 31. The man remains on bail.
