Wollongong man Kane Wade, 35, appeared at Wollongong Bail Court on Sunday over allegations of kicking in hotel doors and punching a guest who he claimed knew where “Carly” was.
According to police facts tendered to the court, Wade allegedly “went on some sort of rampage” through the Piccadilly Motor Inn in Crown Street around 4.30am on Sunday.
Wade, who had been released from prison on parole a week earlier, began the fracas by allegedly kicking in the door to room 8.
“The accused could be clearly heard yelling ‘where the f..k is Carly?’ during the rampage,” the police facts allege.
Wade then kicked in a door to the boiler room before allegedly starting on room 33.
The police allege he kicked that door off the hinges after calling out for the resident to open it because he felt Carly was inside.

“The accused then punched the victim extremely hard on his right eye,” the facts allege.
After police arrived and arrested Wade, they claim he told them he had taken ecstasy.
The alleged rampage was captured on the hotel’s CCTV.
Police contacted “Carly”, who had no idea why Wade was looking for her.
Wade’s Legal Aid solicitor Tim McKenzie said Wade was “adamant” some of the footage was not accurate and offered to comply to strict bail conditions.
Police prosecutor Sgt Shannon Ryan opposed bail due to “very serious concerns as to further offending”.
Bail was refused and Wade will appear at Wollongong Court on September 10.
