Making the achievement even more impressive is the fact the 14 girls side won the 15 years competition.
The win marked a positive end to a successful season, with the girls claiming the State Cup and Kanga Cup on the way to Sunday’s 3-0 victory.
The win came on a fruitful day for Shellharbour, with the club’s 12 girls defeating Helensburgh 2-1 and 16 girls outlasting Fernhill 4-3 in a penalty shootout.
In other grand finals on Sunday, the Balgownie 14 girls were upset by Wonoona in a penalty shootout. The victory reversed a 2-0 loss to the Magpies in the major semi-final.
The 13 girls first division grand final was won by Coledale, defeating Russell Vale 1-0, with Albion Park upsetting Fernhill 3-1 in the second division.
