Greg Thurling is a Figgy Bowlo legend who passed away in late December 2015 after many years fighting leukaemia.
This year’s one-day spectacular fours on October 21 to carry $12,100 prizemoney and feature a top class field of 48 teams.
International and Jackaroos stars will take on the best players in Illawarra in a showdown worthy of what Greg Thurling worked his life to keep achieving – bring world class bowls to his club.
A huge month at Figgy Bowlo begins on October 1, with the $1300 Spring Open Mixed Pairs, then the Over 50s Men’s Pairs on October 4, before the Leukaemia Foundation $2500 Open Pairs on October 20 and Greg Thurling Memorial One Day Spectacular Fours on October 21.
