It's not a unique situation, it's just life. Kickoff hasn't been struck by the sudden inclination to share our life story, it's just to illustrate why we have no sympathy for Panthers utility Tyrone Peachey.

Kickoff has friends who work FIFO in different states, spend 12 hours at a time underground, and even further in transit, to provide for their families. Others make weekly 10-hour round trips in the car to do the same.

They do it and all for a whole lot less coin than Peachey signed on with the Titans for. To renege on that, or even seek to, shows an utter lack of integrity and, as more such instances arise, erodes the wider integrity of the game. 

Player managers are always front and centre of such dealings. Through various salary cap scandals we're yet to see any cop more than a slap on the wrist. Can anyone say the game's better off for the efforts of these blokes? 

They recently pooled their various seven per cent shares of players’contracts to mount a legal challenge to efforts from the NRL and Players Association to regulate what they do.

The Titans have famously been burned before. Let's hope they dig their heels in on this one.
