The Eagles got the scoreboard ticking early through Kane Ball, who benefited from a nice attacking raid on the eastern side of the ground.

Co-captain Jake Brisbane converted as Albion Park led 6-nil.  

The Eagles continued to play at a frenetic pace as Dallas Harrison received a freakish offload from Connor Ruse-Kent for his effort before Ball bagged a first half double and the try of the game.  

Fullback Jack Walsh was destined to be tackled in his own in goal area before he fended off a few defenders and laid it off to Ball who ran the length of the field to score under the black dot.

Brisbane converted both tries as Albion Park led 18-nil.   

The defending premiers got back into clash through Travis Wooden who was assisted by a live-wire cut out pass from Liam Conlon before Tarje Whitford placed a perfectly waited grubber kick for Cody Roach's try.

Whitford landed a conversion as his side trailed 18-10 at the break. 

The second half got off to an unusual start as referee Rob Hallet was forced to leave the field with a suspected leg injury and was replaced by Nick McInerney. 

Albion Park were rewarded for their strong defence as Kane Ball made a break on the western touchline and assited Brisbane with an amazing cross field kick who added the extras.

The Park led 24-10.

To their credit Milton fought hard all game and showed plenty of determination and grit, but unfortunately couldn't crack a well composed and strong defensive Eagles team. 

Albion Park put the game to bed as Declyn Brazulaitis barged over from dummy-half, Dallas Harrison claimed a double for the match while co-captain Dylan Lucas also got himself on the try scorers list. 

Brisbane landed four conversions for the half as Albion Park ran out victors by 42-10 – securing them the 2018 Trevor Farmer Trophy.

Jake Brisbane was awarded best on ground as Kane Ball, Jack Walsh, Dallas Harrison and Dylan Lucas also stood out for the Eagles. 

Oscar Fitzpatrick, Tarje Whitford, Charlie Frendo and Lleyton Roach gave it their all for the Bulldogs.
