The Japanese star was brilliant in the club’s victory over Wollongong Olympic, scoring his side’s opening goal in the 2-1.
It had United coach Jeff Allport heaping praise on his influential midfielder after the match.
“He was a standout again,” he said.
“He was the one person on the whole field who slowed things down.
“When he got the ball, he kept it and wanted us to keep the ball.
“There was a fair bit of when people got the ball, they wanted to go long all the time and we played into that a little but he was the one guy who was head and shoulders above everyone else on the park.”
Kushida has appeared in every match for United this season and chipped in with two regular seasons goals.
United also benefited from the return of centre back Mark Every.
