Cricket Illawarra is gearing up for another season of junior cricket, with play set to commence on Saturday October 13th and running through to early March.
The region’s clubs are seeking boys and girls from ages five up to 16, with players of all abilities invited to join. Clubs range from Helensburgh in the north to Kiama in the south.
Martin King from the association said the rules are modified to ensure every player has an opportunity to bat, bowl and field.
“There have been modified programs introduced to try and get more kids involved in participation,” King said.
“The kids play on smaller fields in smaller teams to allow them to have a greater chance to participate.”
