There were a lot of big bream pulled from the rocks over the weekend but none better than Martin Sewalt’s stud fish that upped his personal best bream that pulled the scales down to just under the 900 gram mark and secured him top spot on the Leisure Coast Bait and Tackle in-store fishing comp.

Using Recreational fishing licence funds, construction of NSW's latest offshore artificial reef is now completed near Merimbula further down the coast.
Assembled in Eden Harbour, the two specially designed pinnacle reefs each standing 12 metres high are this week being sunk to their final resting place 32 metres below the ocean surface.
The new reef pinnacles will be easily accessible for local and visiting fishers being situated between Merimbula and Haycock Points approximately 2.5km offshore from the Merimbula estuary.
The first module was sunk into position earlier this week after being towed the 25km north from Eden and weather permitting, the second structure will go in shortly.
Each pinnacle weighs over 90 tonnes.
This is the first time this special installation technique has been used in NSW to safely install such massive structures.
