The QAF folk are holding a free painting workshop on Sunday September 23 to create banners for the festival, designed by the Poncho Army.
“No artistic talent is needed as we're going to be adding colour to three banners that will already have the outlines on them,” said their Facebook event page.
The banners created will be used in the Viva La Gong parade and displayed at the ACON stall. Banners will also be used at in festival events in the future.
The workshop is for all ages, abilities, identities and orientations – not just people from the LGBTQI community.
It’s being held at Anchors Aweigh Art Studio on Church Street in Wollongong, from 10am to 4pm. Food and drinks provided, including wine for those over 18.
The event is free, though bookings are essential through www.eventbrite.com.au
